JULY 07 - UK Cabling awarded Macintosh Mills Project....
UK Cabling have been brought in to design and install the Door Entry System, SMATV and Telephone System throughout the new development of 102 apartments at the site where the Macintosh Raincoat was invented. The installation is the 1st of a 5 phase rollout and will be complete early 2008.
MARCH 07 - UK Cabling moving into new offices....
Due to further expansion UK Cabling are moving into new offices just off Junction 33 of the M1 to accomodate the office staff which in turn enables us to convert our Handsworth site into a dedicated distribution centre. The move will create more jobs at our Handsworth site within the next 3 months.
FEBRUARY 07 - UK Cabling continue with Brand Rex "Authorised Installer" programme...
This is the 3rd year UK Cabling have achieved the "Authorised Installer" status.
Only acredited installers are entitled to offer the Brand-Rex MillenniuM 25 year warranty.
Organisation interested in becoming a Brand-Rex installer must satisfy the following requirements;
- Minimum 1 year trading history · Minimum Brand-Rex product spend of £100K per annum
- Financial Credibility · Quality systems in place (ISO 9001/2 approved or In progress)
- Technical Capability · Project management capability
- Service and Customer focused · Design and planning capabilities
- Standard compliant test equipment

JANUARY 07 - UK Cabling awarded Wilkinsons Rollout....
UK Cabling have been awarded the Structured Cabling Infrastructure upgrade at over 120 sites throughout the UK. Wilkinsons are upgrading from the IBM Type 1 network to a Shielded Category 5e network . UK Cabling are installing the Connectix Cat5E FTP system throughout. The project is scheduled until August 2007and is managed by UK Cabling Project Manager "Frazer Davy".
JULY 06 - UK Cabling appoint new Operations Manager....
UK Cabling Ltd, specialists in low voltage and structured cabling, have recently recruited Tony Crapper to the new position of Operations Manager as the company continues its expansion programme to meet increased demand for its services.
Tony started his career as an electrician, moving quickly into the Telecom/Data industry where he has worked for the past 18 years. He brings with him a wealth of experience gained throughout his career and is a BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).
The creation of this key role is due to the fact that UK Cabling has continued to win a number of key installation contracts in recent months as demand for new technology, particularly in new property developments, has lead to the increased need for quality specialist cabling work. This includes a major installation project at one of the UK’s most prestigious developments in Leeds, working in partnership with Southern and Redfern Building Services Limited. The project involves the installation of high-tech door entry, telephone and TV distribution systems in over 360 luxurious apartments.
UK Cabling has also recently completed a 12,000+ Hellerman Tyton Rapidnet Category 6 installation in Manchester for one of the countries leading insurers. Jaimie Martin, managing director of UK Cabling said: “Our reputation for providing quality solutions and implementations, together with our ability to understand the customer’s business needs, has meant we have been able to offer sound technical solutions to a wide range of major clients and organisations.”
